Grief & Child Loss Resources
Navigating the aftermath of child or infant loss is an incredibly challenging journey. In the days following such a profound loss, finding accessible and meaningful support can feel overwhelming. To help ease this burden, my husband and I have compiled a list of free and readily available resources. We hope this list provides some solace and guidance to those navigating this unimaginable path.
Grief Resources created for grieving parents and families in honor of our beloved:
Magnolia “Maggie” Jane Guenther
June 11, 2023
“Sweet little flower of heavenly birth, she was too fair to bloom on earth.”
Hi, I’m Emma, Magnolia’s mama. I am a Grief Guide and Mentor, Psychic & Somatic Medium, Field Reader and Energy Healer. I hold sacred space for women navigating life after loss or moving through powerful life transitions, guiding them back to self-trust, clarity, and their own inner strength.
My journey, shaped by the stillbirth of my daughter, Magnolia opened me to the unseen connections that continue beyond loss and to the healing gifts I now share with others. Through mediumship, energy healing, healing guides and one-on-one support, I help women release what feels heavy, shift limiting beliefs, and reconnect with themselves and their loved ones in spirit.
To walk with you on your path, I created a free resource: The Grief to Gold Guide. Inside, you’ll find gentle practices, reflections, and grounding tools to help you move through stuck emotions and begin transforming pain into purpose...one breath, one moment at a time.

Celebrating Heavenly Birthdays and Special “Firsts”
Honoring your baby on significant dates, such as their heavenly birthday or due date, can be a deeply personal and meaningful way to keep their memory alive. These “firsts” can be incredibly emotional, and it’s important to plan for them in a way that feels right for you. Whether you choose to mark the occasion with a special celebration or simply take time for quiet reflection, you have the freedom to do what feels most healing for you and your family.
1. Plan for Their “First” Days
•Marking these milestones—whether it’s their heavenly birthday, due date, or any other meaningful day—can be an emotional challenge. It’s helpful to have a plan, even if that plan is simply to take the day for yourself and do nothing.
•Allow yourself to experience these days in whatever way feels right: some may want a quiet day of reflection, while others may find comfort in an active or social celebration. The most important thing is to give yourself permission to honor your baby in your own way.
2. Create Personalized Rituals
•Hold a small memorial, or simply light a candle in their honor. Whether it’s a big gathering or a personal ritual, the choice is yours.
•Create something to symbolize their life, like planting a tree, writing a letter, or crafting an ornament. A ritual can be as simple as playing a favorite song or taking a moment of silence.
3. Celebrate in Your Own Way
•You may want to gather with family and friends to celebrate your baby’s life. This can include sharing stories, releasing balloons or lanterns, or lighting candles.
•Alternatively, you might prefer a more intimate experience—visiting a special place, reflecting quietly at home, or doing something creative, like baking a cake or preparing a meal associated with their memory.
4. Honor Through Acts of Love
•Some parents find comfort in giving back. Donate to a cause that supports families experiencing pregnancy or infant loss, volunteer, or perform an act of kindness in their memory. These gestures can help channel love and healing into the world.
5. Keep It Simple or Make It Grand—It’s Your Choice
•There’s no right or wrong way to honor your baby. Whether you choose a grand celebration or a day of solitude, the key is to honor your baby in a way that feels true to your heart. Allow space for your emotions and know that however you choose to commemorate these “firsts,” it is valid and important.
These special dates and “firsts” are an opportunity to pause and acknowledge your love for your baby. It’s your unique journey, and you can honor them in a way that brings you peace and healing, remembering that whatever you decide is an expression of love.
